Tony Colman, aka London Elektricity, is a formidable figure in the world of drum & bass. As the original founder of the Hospital Records and Fast Soul Music labels, he’s played a pivotal role in shaping the genre we know today. Alongside being an accomplished producer and DJ, Tony is the mastermind behind several D&B podcasts.
London Elektricity earned a gold-standard reputation through some of the liquid scene’s biggest anthems, including "Billion Dollar Gravy," "Different Drum," and "Just One Second", along with 9 artist albums to his name.
At Hospital Records, Tony signed and nurtured young artists who have since become legendary in the scene, such as High Contrast, Logistics, Danny Byrd and Netsky. Having completed his mission as the chief surgeon at Hospital, Tony stepped away to focus on making music, DJing and setting up Fast Soul Music.
2025 saw the release of the latest London Elek album ‘Lunatics and Legends’, which included collaborations with Catching Cairo, DJ Marky, Makoto, Jolliffe, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Anile, Danny Byrd and more, as well as single releases on Metalheadz and Spearhead.
Tony has built a reputation for playing extended DJ sets, regularly playing for 5 or 6 hours at clubs and festivals in the USA, Australia and New Zealand, Poland, Japan, South Korea, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Croatia, the UK and many other countries.
His flagship FSM nights at the Fox & Firkin have become a beacon in the London club scene, with Tony’s affordability policy ensuring anyone can attend, whether they can afford tickets or not.
