Originally from Johannesburg and now based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Stay-C is a South African DJ and producer bringing her distinctive strain of “Alien Jungle Music” to the European drum & bass scene.

Known for exciting, emotionally charged sets, whether playing a Johannesburg festival, a UK club night or a dancefloor in her new home of the Netherlands, Stay-C has a simple intention behind the decks: to get your feet moving and your heart feeling. High-energy rolling bass, intricate rhythms and enchanting melodic moments collide in sets that move fluidly between drum & bass, jungle and the heavier edges of the genre - always keeping the dancefloor guessing what’s coming next.

Dubbed a “beatsmith” by UKF, Stay-C brings the same philosophy to her productions, combining intricate textures, infectious grooves and serious dancefloor weight.

Constantly evolving in her sound and as an artist, Stay-C draws inspiration from artists including N.E.R.D, Alix Perez, Camo & Krooked and Noisia, finding her own space between soulful musicality and heavyweight bass. Jungle’s rhythmic foundations run throughout both her selections and productions, but she is never confined by them. It’s this tension between the beautiful and the heavy, the intricate and the raw, that sits at the heart of the sound she calls “Alien Jungle Music.”

Having relocated from Johannesburg to the Netherlands, Stay-C is entering a new chapter. With new music taking shape in the studio and a growing presence in Europe, she’s bringing the sound and perspective forged in South Africa into the heart of the international drum & bass scene.

The next evolution of Alien Jungle Music is only just beginning.
